Nursery

Welcome to Nursery!

Your child’s class teacher will be Miss Coussons, and we are really looking forward to settling your child into Nursery. Our aim is to provide a happy, nurturing, and secure environment where your child can thrive. Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and together we will make this a stimulating and memorable year filled with new experiences both indoors and outdoors.

Each child has their own peg with a name and picture, where they can hang their coat and bag. Please send in a small bag with spare clothes, just in case of accidents or outdoor play mishaps. Don’t forget to label all items of clothing with your child’s name. We will provide all children with milk, fruit, and their own water bottle.

Our Nursery has free-flow access to the outdoor area in all weathers, so please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately – warm clothing, waterproofs, hats, scarves, and mittens are essential in colder months.

If there is ever a change in the person collecting your child, please inform the school office in advance. The safety of the children is our highest priority, and we can only release your child to a named, agreed adult.

We regularly share updates, information, and activities on Dojo, so please check this often to support your child’s learning. If you are not yet signed up, please let us know and we will help you get started.

If you have any questions at any point, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are always here to support you and are looking forward to working closely with you throughout your child’s first year at Waterloo Primary School.

Kind regards,

Miss Coussons
