Welcome to Nursery!

We work as an Early Years unit meaning both Reception and Nursery children enjoy learning alongside each other and our experienced Early Years team.  The class teachers Miss Stephenson, Mrs Holt and Mrs Youngson plan the curriculum to best meet the children's needs and group times are delivered by Mrs Lewis.  Miss McCandless, Mrs Maddison and Mrs Roberts support the children through routines and activities.  Our aim is to provide a happy, nurturing, and secure environment where your child can thrive. Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and together we will make this a stimulating and memorable year filled with new experiences both indoors and outdoors.

Each child has their own peg, where they can hang their coat and bag. Please send in a small bag with spare clothes. Don’t forget to label all items of clothing with your child’s name. We will provide all children with milk, fruit, and their own water bottle so please don't send any other items into school.

Our Nursery has free-flow access to the outdoor area in all weathers, so please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately – warm clothing, waterproofs, hats, scarves, and mittens are essential in colder months.

If there is ever a change in the person collecting your child, please inform the school office in advance. The safety of the children is our highest priority, and we can only release your child to a named, agreed adult.  Please note this means someone over the age of 16.

We regularly share updates, information, and activities on Dojo, so please check this often to support your child’s learning. If you are not yet signed up, please let us know and we will help you get started.
